About the open role:


The purpose of the DevSecOps Engineer position is to embed security at every stage of the software development and deployment lifecycle: Secure and harden our AWS environment—managing security tools, policies and logs_to support InfoSec and enable safe, scalable deployments.

This role ensures that security is treated as a shared responsibility across development, operations, and security teams. By integrating automated security controls, continuous monitoring, and best practices into DevOps workflows, the DevSecOps Engineer helps deliver secure, reliable, and scalable applications faster. This position plays a critical role in reducing risk, ensuring compliance, and fostering a culture of secure software development across the organization

 

What you’ll do:

  • Configure and maintain AWS security tools (GuardDuty, Security Hub, Inspector, etc.);

  • Define and update Security Groups, NACLs, IAM policies;

  • Monitor CloudTrail, CloudWatch Logs and S3 access logs for anomalies;

  • Rotate and manage access keys, certificates and secrets;

  • Triage and complete ad-hoc requests from the InfoSec team;

  • Manage security patching process;

  • Integrate security tools and practices into CI/CD pipelines (e.g., SAST, DAST, SCA, secrets scanning);

  • Implement infrastructure as code (IaC) security best practices using tools like Terraform, AWS CloudFormation, or Ansible;

  • Conduct threat modeling and security risk assessments for cloud-native applications;

  • Collaborate with engineering teams to ensure secure coding and deployment standards;

  • Automate monitoring, alerting, and logging for security events and vulnerabilities;

  • Develop and enforce policies for container security (Docker, Kubernetes);

  • Ensure compliance with industry standards (e.g., ISO 27001, SOC 2, NIST, GDPR);

  • Champion a security-first culture across the development and operations teams


What we expect from you:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Cybersecurity, or related field;

  • 3+ years of experience in DevOps, Cloud Security, or Application Security;

  • Proficiency with CI/CD tools such as Jenkins, GitLab CI/CD, CircleCI, or GitHub Actions;

  • Experience with containerization (Docker, Kubernetes) and securing containerized workloads;

  • Strong knowledge of cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP) and their security services;

  • Scripting and automation skills (Python, Bash, or similar);

  • 2_3+ years with AWS security services (IAM, CloudTrail, Identity, Secrets Manager, AWS log/audit tools, Cloudwatch, GuardDuty, Terraform)

  • Familiarity with network security (SGs, VPNs, VPCs, VPC endpoints, Private Links, Transit Gateways);

  • Automation/Scripting (Yaml, AWS, AWS CLI, Terraform, Github);

  • Strong communicator, proactive, detail-oriented;.
